Itineraries

DAY 01:

BUENOS AIRES

Contact with the bilingual guide at the Ezeiza airport and transfer to hotel. Accommodation in Buenos Aires. Overnight in Buenos Aires.

DAY 02:

BUENOS AIRES / CITY TOUR

Breakfast and city tour in Buenos Aires, visiting the traditional Plaza de Mayo with the Casa Rosada, the Cabildo and the Metropolitan Cathedral. Then we will walk through the paver streets of San Telmo, where it revive the colonial past of the city. Colorful buildings and picturesque tenements converted to La Boca in one of the most characteristic areas of the city. We will stop at the mythical Caminito Street, symbol of football, tango and art. The tour will continue in the trendy Puerto Madero, an exclusive corporate, residential and gastronomic center. In the neighborhoods of Recoleta and Retiro, we will visit the Plaza San Martín, the elegant Avenida Alvear, the Basilica Nuestra Señora del Pilar and Recoleta Cemetery, where lies - among others-the famous Eva Peron. The tour ends in Palermo Chico, a suburb characterized French style mansions and large parks designed by famed landscape architect Charles Thays. Return to hotel. In the evening we will go to one of the traditional milongas of Buenos Aires, where we can take a tango class and stay to dance and enjoy this emblematic place. Overnight in Buenos Aires.

DAY 03:

BUENOS AIRES / SALTA

Breakfast and transfer to Jorge Newbery domestic airport with our guide to take flight to Salta. Arrival in Salta and transfer to hotel, lodging. In the afternoon, we will visit the city, know the most attractive sites of the city: the Cathedral where lie the remains of General Güemes, the American Cultural Center, Historical Museum North (Cabildo) with exhibits sacred art, Basilica de San Francisco, Convento San Bernardo Order of Carmelites, Güemes Monument, climbing Cerro San Bernardo and his sight panoramic of the city, visit the San Lorenzo Summer village on the outskirts of the city with its subtropical climate and Artisan Market where crafts are displayed with the original certification of the whole province. Overnight in Salta.

DAY 04:

SALTA / FINCA SANTA ANITA (CORONEL MOLDES) / CAFAYATE / QUILMES RUINS

Breakfast and departure to Coronel Moldes, this is an important tobacco area, we will go to Finca Santa Anita, where we will enjoy the Archaeological Museum, the Tobacco Museum, the collections of saddles, native trees and medicinal plants. All of these took decades to create and are in constant growth and maturation, and are the only ones in Salta. We will also join in milking the goats and making cheese, or seeing how the tobacco manual transplant is done, a millenarian crop, all unique experiences for our guests. Then we will continue the trip until Cafayate where we will have time to lunch (not included), will continue the trip until Quilmes Ruins where we will know about this ancestral community and their history. Return to Cafayate and lodging. Overnight in Cafayate.

DAY 05:

CAFAYATE / MOLINOS / SECLANTAS / HANDICRAFT ROUTE / CACHI

Breakfast and departure to Cachi. In the trip we will know the towns nears such as Molinos, Seclantás, San Carlos where we will visit some handicraft in their workplace. In Cachi we will visit the Church and the Archeological Museum and will enjoy the panoramic view of Nevado de Cachi hill. Lodging. Overnight in Cachi.

DAY 06:

CACHI / LOS CARDONES NATIONAL PARK / CUESTA DEL OBISPO / SALTA / PURMAMARCA

Breakfast and departure to Purmamarca. In the trip we will enjoy Los Cardones National Park, Cuesta del Obispo and Valle Encantado. Arrival in Salta and we will continue until Purmamarca. Arrival and trekking in Los Colorados Hill. Lodging in Purmamarca. At evening, we will enjoy a kind of Andean cuisine, where we will know the secrets of one of the most traditional dishes of Argentina, then we will enjoy and taste these same dishes we have prepared. Overnight in Purmamarca.

DAY 07:

PURMAMARCA / SALINAS GRANDES / CERRO NEGRO / BARRANCAS – Original Communitary

Breakfast and departure to an unforgettable day visiting the salt lakes, their communities, their workers and processes that led to this mineral to be a good exploitation of renewable notch. The Salinas, surrounding landscapes and its people make it possible to enjoy and learn from the process of getting to your salt consumption and livelihood of many people. Lunch and departure to Barrancas where we will visit one of the most important archaeological places, we will see rock paintings and an impressive cliff, lodging and dinner with local families. Overnight in Barrancas.

DAY 08:

BARRANCAS / ALFARCITO / GUAYATAYOC / SANTA ANA / SAUSALITO

Breakfast and departure to Alfarcito. At the arrival, we will enjoy the views of the Guayatayoc Lagoon, we can lunch and have free time to rest and enjoy this special village. We will continue visiting the communities of Santa Ana and Sausalito where we will lodge in a family house. Overnight in Sausalito.

DAY 09:

SAUSALITO / PURMAMARCA / SALTA / IGUAZÚ

Breakfast and departure to Purmamarca town to continue to Salta airport. In the afternoon, we will take a flight to Iguazú. Arrival and transfer to hotel. Lodging. Overnight in Iguazú.

DAY 10:

IGUAZÚ NATIONAL PARK (AR)

Breakfast and departure to the Iguazù National Park. We will start the visit at the Local Museum and will continue the tour with the Lower Trail. From where we will see among other, the” Two sisters Falls”, the “Bossetti Fall”, the “Hidden Falls” and a panoramic view of “San Martin Island”. Later, we will walk the Upper Trail shifting along walkways located above major falls up to the majestic “San Martin Fall”. Finally, we will go with the Train of the Jungle to “Devil´s Throat” station. And we will continue walking along the catwalks. In the afternoon we will return to hotel. Overnight in Iguazú.

DAY 11:

IGUASSU NATIONAL PARK (BR) / YACUTINGA LODGE – Meeting point

Breakfast and departure to Iguassu National Park where we will see the largest panoramic views of the falls with the greatest sighs of them. The visit will begin at the Visitor Centre taking along the colourfull buses of the Brazilian National Park to the beginning of the path. After walking along this catwalk the visit will finish at Porto Canoes, where we can lunch (not included). Then we will return to Iguazú and will go to “Meeting point of Yacutinga Lodge” to wait the transfer of lodge. At 14.30 hs, departure from our meeting point in Iguazù. The landscape is very picturesque, characterized by its reddish soil, the various shades of greens, the colonists and their yerba mate farms. Arrival at the lodge, welcome and room distribution. Presentation about the activities and introductory explanation about the environmental problematic of the rainforest and the actions for its conservation. Dinner. Overnight in the lodge.

DAY 12:

YACUTINGA LODGE

Breakfast. Early in the morning paddling along the San Francisco stream, which flows into the Natural Reserve; and the upper Iguazù River. This is the right moment for a photo-safari and general fauna observation. The water activity lasts almost 3 hours, silently going through the Gallery forest area. Back to the lodge at mid-morning. Lunch. Free time to walk along and simply enjoy the facilities of the lodge (swimming pool, bar, fireplace, observation tower). Interpretative walks in the afternoon, conducted by expert guides who provide good information on the several natural environments, their flora and fauna. Back to the lodge. Dinner. Overnight in the lodge.

DAY 13:

YACUTINGA LODGE – PRIVATE RESERVE YACUTINGA & ORIGINS AFTERNOON

Breakfast and eco-tour “Exploring the Jungle” of the Yacutinga Reserve. The early hours are the best for better registration and observation. Nature is interpreted in its whole. Flora, orchids, bromeliads and other epiphytes. Fauna: mainly birds and their behaviors. At 12.30 hrs, lunch at the lodge. Start of the “Origins afternoon”. The Yerba Mate (Ilex paraguayensis) plantations trip: A visit to the Andresito Yerba Mate Cooperative complements the experience, by showing the productive process in detail. Return to the lodge. Walk along an special path, where the guide will show us how they use the resources the jungle for their own subsistence. Use of medicinal plants and traps. At the fire-place the “Reviro” will be prepared, a typical dish from Misiones Province. Preparation of the Mate Tea in its traditional form. After dinner, our guests can enjoy the Night walk: “The Forest at night”. Overnight in the lodge.

DAY 14:

YACUTINGA LODGE / PUERTO IGUAZÚ - Meeting point

Breakfast and free time to explore around or simply enjoy the lodge area. Return to Iguazú by land at mid-morning. Arrival estimated at 12.30 – 13.00 hs, our vehicle will be waiting for us to transfer to Iguazú Airport to take flight to Buenos Aires. Arrival in Buenos Aires and transfer to hotel, free time. Overnight in Buenos Aires.

DAY 15:

BUENOS AIRES / EZEIZA AIRPORT

Breakfast and departure to Ezeiza International airport to take flight to return.
