Itineraries

DAY 01:

IGUAZÚ

Arrival at Iguazú airport and transfer to hotel. Lodging and rest. In the afternoon, we will enjoy the magnificent landscapes of this area on bike, the “Yaguarandí road”. This excursion will begin in the area of the Selva Yriapú, zone with paved roads and dirt paths red, where we will drive around 8 km. We will visit one of the Mbya guaranì communities and will appreciate their culture. Then, we will return at hotel. Overnight in Iguazú.

DAY 02:

ARGENTINE IGUAZÚ NATIONAL PARK (AR)

Breakfast and departure to the park. We will start the visit at the Local Museum and will continue the tour with the Lower Trail. From where we will see among other, the” Two Sisters Falls”, the “Bossetti Fall”, the “Hidden Falls” and a panoramic view of “San Martìn Island”. Later, we will walk the Upper Trail. Finally, we will go with the Train of the Jungle to “Devil´s Throat” station. We will continue walk along the catwalks until the Visitor Centre, where will start our “Great Adventure”. We will enter to the jungle by the “Yacaratiá trail” in trucks specially designed for this environment that it will introduces to the place’s natural and cultural resources. This 5 km long way ends at “Puerto Macuco”. We will take a boat that will sail in the Lower Iguazù River for as long as 6 km, until the waterfalls area, enjoying plentiful rapids. Upon reaching the “Tres Mosqueteros Fall”, we will see the falls of both the argentine and brazilian sides crowned by the view of the “Garganta del Diablo” (Devil’s Throat). At the end of the trip, we will descend from the boat on the dock located in front of the San Martín Island, where we may continue enjoying the landscape joining the runways system of the Circuit. In the afternoon, we will return to hotel . Overnigth in Iguazú.

DAY 03:

BRAZILIAN IGUASSU NATIONAL PARK (BR) / YACUTINGA LODGE

Breakfast and departure to Brazilian National Park. We will see the largest panoramic views of the falls with the greatest sights of them. The visit begins at the Visitor Centre taking along the colourfull buses of the Brazilian National Park to the beginning of the path. After walking along this catwalk that finish at Porto Canoes, where we can lunch (not included). Then we will return to Iguazú and will go to “Meeting point of Yacutinga Lodge” to wait the transfer of lodge. At 14.30 hs, we will depart from our meeting point in Iguazù through the lodge. Arrival at the lodge, welcome and room distribution. Presentation: The jungle and its state of conservation . Through this presentation the guide in charge will explain to the new guests the environmental situation of the ecosystem they are visiting. Presentation about the activities and introductory explanation about the environmental problematic of the rainforest and the actions we are undertaking to achieve its conservation. Dinner. Overnight at the lodge.

DAY 04:

YACUTINGA LODGE

After the breakfast, early in the morning, kayaking along the San Francisco stream, which flows into the Natural Reserve. This is the right moment for a photo-safari and general fauna observation. Sailing these waters is extremely relaxing and gives us the opportunity to move along the gallery forests in silence. Salt patches are very common on the shores of these streams, and wild animals often seek these places, therefore it is common to find animal footprints and traces in the muddy shores. The water activity lasts almost 3 hours. Back to the lodge at mid-morning. Free time to walk along and simply enjoy the facilities of the lodge (swimming pool, visitors center, etc.). Interpretative walks in the afternoon, conducted by expert guides who provide good information on the several natural environments, their flora and fauna. This is an environment highly rich in biodiversity, old-growth trees, medicinal plants, orchids, bromeliads, butterflies, beetles, birds and mammals that combine to provide the key to interpretation and astonish us with a very intense natural contact inside Misiones Forest. Dinner. Night walk. The forest at night. We will wait for the night to come. The sounds of Nature produce a very complex symphony. We silently take part of this scene. The owls start their activities. This might be a suitable description of this walk organized by Yacutinga Lodge's environmental guides. Overnight at the lodge.

DAY 05:

YACUTINGA LODGE/PUERTO IGUAZÚ

Breakfast and free time to explore around or simply enjoy the lodge area. We will invite our guests to participate in our “Orchid Rescue Program”. Check out and return to Iguazú by land at mid-morning. Arrival estimated at 13.00 hs at meeting point in Iguazú, where our vehicle will be waiting for us to transfer to Iguazú airport to take flight to return.

DIA 06:

IGUAZÚ/ IGUAZÙ AIRPORT

Breakfast and departure to time set to Iguazù airport for our flight back to Buenos Aires or to our next destination.
