Itineraries

DAY 01:

BUENOS AIRES

Contact with the bilingual speaking guide at the Ezeiza Airport and transfer to hotel. Accommodation in Buenos Aires. Overnight in Buenos Aires.

DAY 02:

BUENOS AIRES / Walking city tour

Breakfast and we will begin our walking tour of the city, visiting the traditional Plaza de Mayo with the Casa Rosada, the Cabildo and the Metropolitan Cathedral. Then we will walk through the streets of pavers of San Telmo, where we will relive the colonial past of the city. We will visit La Boca district and their mythical Caminito Street, symbol of football, tango and art. The tour will continue in the trendy Puerto Madero, Recoleta and Retiro, visit the Plaza San Martín, the elegant Avenida Alvear, the Basìlica Nuestra Señora del Pilar and Recoleta Cemetery, where lies - among others-the famous Eva Peròn and where our tour ends. Return to hotel. In the evening, we will go to enjoy a Dinner with a famous Tango show. Overnight in Buenos Aires.

DAY 03:

BUENOS AIRES / MENDOZA

Breakfast and transfer to domestic airport to flight to Mendoza, at arrival pick up the 4x4 vehicle and go by yourself to hotel where you will be stay. Overnight in Mendoza.

DAY 04:

MENDOZA - Full Day Wine Experience

Early in the morning, you will meet the oenologist who will accompany you throughout the tour. Will be depart to Mendoza’s agricultural oasis and will visit two prestigious wineries, of wine’s circuit. You will visit its facilities and be able to participate in a guided wine tasting, during which you will begin to familiarize ourselves with the local’s wines, and its elaboration process. Our guide will explain us the technique of wine tasting, wine production techniques, the importance of the cork in the bottle and the correct way to handle a glass in order to taste wine. At noon, you will have lunch in a recognized winery, where you will enjoy an unforgettable gastronomic experience. In the afternoon, you will be able to visit other winery and enjoy a wine tasting session. As the sun sets behind the Andes Mountains, you will return to the hotel. Overnight in Mendoza city

DAY 05:

MENDOZA - Potrerillos/Uspallata (120 km)

After breakfast, we will depart from Mendoza city to Potrerillos Valley, you will arrive to Potrerillos´s Dam and Mendoza river where you will enjoy and outstanding sightseeing and you can do different activities; trekking or walk along pathways between mountains. You will can appreciate the flora and fauna of mountain and you will can appreciate the Cordón del Plata. Then you can go to discover the famous “Puente del Inca”, is a formation of stones with a yellowish color that forms a natural bridge over the “Las Cuevas river”. Uses centuries ago as a bridge to cross the river, at the beginning of the XX century and thank to the discover thermal waters, the Puente del Inca hotel was installed in the place, was a very important lodging with thermal bath for the time. Trip until Uspallata where you will lodging. Overnight in Uspallata

DAY 06:

USPALLATA/BARREAL (116 km)

After breakfast you will depart to Barreal town in San Juan province, on the way you can enjoy the Alkazar hill, then you continue to visit the “Casleo astronomical observatory, here you can take a tour of the facilities to see the main telescope and the control room. You will can dinner at the Observatory and then a stargazing with equipment and accompanied by the Observatory staff. Tonight will be in the town of Barreal

DAY 07:

SAN JUAN - Barreal

Today you can visit the Leoncito National Park, where you will can enjoy the natural fauna and flora. Here you will be able to practice wind karting in a magnificent and natural scenary. Overnight at Barreal town.

Day 08:

BARREAL/RODEO (190 km)

This day, you will leave after breakfast to the town of Rodeo, on the way you can discover churches built in the eighteenth century, then you will arrive to Rodeo where you will stay to enjoy the visit to the Cuesta del Viento Dam. Overnight at Rodeo

DAY 09:

RODEO

Leisure day in Rodeo, if you like you can enjoy thermal bath in Pismanta. Night in Rodeo

DAY 10:

RODEO/VILLA UNIÓN (191 km)

After breakfast, you will leave to Villa Unión town by route 40, here you will do a stop to continue at next day your trip to the next town. Night in Villa Unión.

DAY 11:

VILLA UNIÓN/TINOGASTA (253 km)

This day will have an early start, you will begin your journey crossing La Cuesta de Miranda, a winding road with one of the best viewpoints in the area, and its maximum altitude is 2040 mt above sea level. On the other side, we find the town of Chilecito, where we can stop to recharge supplies and then continue our journey to the town of Tinogasta. Arrival and night in Tinogasta.

DAY 12:

TINOGASTA "Seismiles route" (full day)

After breakfast, you will can start your journey to discover the route of the seismiles, a region of volcanoes that are over 6000 meters high and reach the border crossing with Chile San Francisco. The most important volcanoes are “Ojo del Salado (6864 m), Pissis, monte (6792 m), Pissis, cerro (6785 m) being the second highest peaks of the Andes after the Aconcagua (6962 m). Return in afternoon to rest in the Tinogasta hotel.

DAY 13:

TINOGASTA "Adobe route"

This day, after breakfast you can follow the adobe route, on the way to the town of Fiambala. They are constructions that built between the years 1600 and 1800 and that today still represent the Native American idiosyncrasy. Night in Tinogasta.

DAY 14:

TINOGASTA/BELÉN (153 km)

Breakfast and departure for “Caminos del Inca” (Inca Trails). Some towns in the way is Londres, the second oldest town in the country, you can visit their weavers, with their handlooms in their homes. Arrival at hotel, Overnight at Belén

DAY 15:

BELÉN

This day you will can visit the Shincal del Quimivil, because Belén is the principal city in this area and the enter to this monumental archaeological park built and inhabited by the incas. Overnight at Belén.

Day 16:

BELÉN/TAFÍ DEL VALLE (247 km)

After breakfast, you will leave to Tafí del Valle in the Tucumán province, it´s an oasis between the Calchaquies Valley. Here you will can visit the “Menhires Archeological Reserve”, menhirs are relatively large stones arranged vertically, like a monolith or a primitive obelisk, associated with fertility rites by the Diaguitas people who were agriculturalists. Overnight in Tafí del Valle

Day 17:

TAFI DEL VALLE

This day you will can go to visit the Quilmes Ruins, an archeological site with a museum with all history of Diaguitas life in this region. Rest in the ranch Las Carreras and discover their artisan cheese factory. Overnight in Tafí del Valle

Day 18

TAFI DEL VALLE/CATAMARCA (246 km)

After breakfast, we will depart by south crossing the Tucumán province until arrival at San Fernando del Valle de Catamarca, the provincial city. Visit the town and lodging Overnight at Catamarca

Day 19:

CATAMARCA/LA RIOJA (157 km)

After breakfast we will depart to La Rioja city, you can visit the town and lodging. Overnight in LA Rioja

Day 20:

LA RIOJA/EL CHIFLÓN (145 km) - Talampaya National Park

After breakfast, the trip is until El Chiflón town, our hotel outside of Talampaya National Park. The Talampaya National Park preserves and protects rock formations dating back to the Triassic, in shades of red, grey and ochre. Attractions such as the Talampaya Canyon, the Botanical Garden, the Lost City, the Rainbow Canyon are part of this UNESCO World Heritage Site. Lodging and overnight at El Chiflón.

Day 21:

Ischigualasto Provincial Park (71 km)

Toay is time to visit the Ischigualasto Provincial Park is unique in the world for its continental sediments of the Triasic: rocks of ash, white, grey and shades of red and vermilion that harbour fossils of reptiles and dinosaurs. Curiously, shaped geoforms (El Submarino, El Hongo, la Cancha de Bochas) and the remains of the oldest dinosaur are some of the attractions of this UNESCO World Heritage Site. Overnight at El Chiflón

Day 22:

EL CHIFLÓN/SAN JUAN CITY (324 km)

After breakfast, you will leave to San Juan city by route 40, here you can visit the Sarmiento museum and the city. Lodging in San Juan, your trip is coming to end.

Day 23:

SAN JUAN/MENDOZA (161 km)

After breakfast, you will leave to Mendoza airport where you drop off the rental car and will take the flight to Buenos Aires. At arrival, you will be transfered to hotel. Overnight in Buenos Aires.

Day 24:

BUENOS AIRES

Breakfast and we will be transfered to Ezeiza Airport to flight back to home.
