Day 01: SALTA
Welcome at Salta Airport and transfer to our accommodation. The rest of the day will be free for us to discover this special city. Lodging at Hosteria.
Day 02: SAN ANTONIO DE LOS COBRES / SALINAS GRANDES
We will depart early to Campo Quijano, through the Quebrada del Toro and finally, we will arrive to the pre- Hispanic city of Santa Rosa de Tastil and his legendary ruins. Our trip will continue to San Antonio de los Cobres, a typical town located at 4000 meters high. Later we will appreciate the “Salinas Grandes”; then descending over the “Cuesta de Lipan”, we will do a stop at the town of Pumamarca and its famous “Cerro de los Siete Colores”. Later we will arrive to our lodge at the painteresque town of Tilcara. Lodging at Hosteria.
Day 03: TREK TO THE GARGANTA DEL DIABLO (DEVIL´S THROAT) / TILCARA
We will have the morning free to discover the town and its unique things such us: la Plaza Grande, la Plaza Chica, the town church and the Pucará de Tilcara. In the afternoon, we will do a small trek to the Garganta del Diablo (Devil’s Throat), walking along the old Kollas Paths and watching the amazing view. After 3 or 4 hours we finally will go back to Tilcara. Lodging at Hosteria.
Day 04: TILCARA / IRUYA / HUMAHUACA
Early in the morning we will take a local bus and will go to a small town located right in between the mountains, Iruya. From there we will have a special view to the end of the valley. After enjoying the town we will spend the night at Humahuaca. Lodging at Hosteria (INCLUDED BOX LUNCH)
Day 05: UQUIA / QUEBRADA DE LAS SEÑORITAS
After breakfast, we will leave Humahuaca by bus and after10 km we will arrive to the small town of Uquía. Once there we will visit the church of “San Francisco de Paula” with its altar laminated in gold by the Jesuits in 1691 (year in which it was built) and adorned with the pictures of the “arcabucero angels” brought from Cuzco. Then we will do a small trek to the la “Quebrada de las Señorita”s o “Yacoraite”. The place is known for its paleontological deposits where we will meet fossils of the last great mammals that inhabited the Earth, like milodontes and gigantic perezosos. Back in Uquía we will visit a place where vicuñas are raised and an old hydraulic mill. At the end of the day we go back to Humahuaca. Lodging at Hosteria (INCLUDED BOX LUNCH)
Day 06: COLOURFUL TOWNS AND QUEBRADAS
We will leave Humahuaca and we will cross “Peña Blanca”, East border of the Quebrada of Humahuaca. Here, we will begin our adventure of “colorful towns and quebradas”. After a few kilometers, we will meet the first towns. The overwhelming plains of the Cocataca Valley will remind us one of the main Inca agricultural sites. During the morning, we will walk this valley and will take our lunch once in town. During the afternoon, we will go hiking for 2 and a half hour to watch the ancient paintings on rocks in Cerro Negro. From here, we will enjoy spectacular views over the valley. After getting back in our vehicle we will cross by different towns such as Valiaso and Pucará to climb the Serranìa of Santa Bàrbara (Santa Barbara Hills) reaching 4200 m above sea level. We will end up the day at the viewpoint in Cerro Horconal, with beautiful views over the Abra (huge prairie) de Zenta. We will take a typical northwest tea time and get back to our hotel by 17 hs. Day 07: QUEBRADA DE SAPAGUA / HORNADITAS COMMUNITY
We will depart to Humahuaca to the Quebrada de Sapagua in our minibus, where we will take a walk around the area. There, we will continue to the small community of the Hornaditas, where we will be able to share the life experience of the natural inhabitant of the area, which open the doors of their homes. Finally, we will go back to Humahuaca town. Lodging at Hosteria (INCLUDED BOX LUNCH)
Day 8: HUMAHUACA/LA QUIACA/VILLAZÓN/UYUNI
Today we will go to La Quiaca in regular bus, after crossing the border we arrive at Villazón town, we go to train station to take our train to Uyuni. Arrival in the night and lodging at Hosteria (INCUDED BREAKFAST)
Day 9: SALAR DE UYUNI
After breakfast we departure in vehicle 4x4 to Colchani (22Km. north of Uyuni) a little town where the people work with explotation and refining of salt. We can visit the handricraft shops, salt hotels and Incahuasi Island enjoying the enormous cacatus and a splendid panoramic view from the viepoint.
We enjoy our boxlunch in the Island and then begin a hiking to continue the Chivuca town where we lodging in a basic shelter.

Day 10: SALAR DE UYUNI/ANTIPLANIC LAGOONS OF BOLIVIA
Breakfast and deparutre to visit the altiplanics lagoons of Bolivia; Cañapa: Hedionda and Ramadita, continuing our trip through the Siloli desert to view the stone tree. We will visit the Colorada Lagoon where we can enjoy the pink flamingos and Andean fauna of great importance as the vicuña and suri or Andean ñandú. We loding here in a basic shelter. (INCLUDED BREAFAST, BOXLUNCH AND DINNER)
Day 11: ALTIPLANIC LAGOONS/SAN PEDRO DE ATACAMA
Breakfast and early departure to appreciate the Geysers (volcanic fumaroles) we shall enjoy the sun in the morning and visit the thermal baths. We continuing our trip to view strange rock formations due to erosion and we will arrive at Verde Lagoon, wich is very different in his area. We enjoy with the view of Lincancabur Volcano and the Cajones border.
We will continue our trip on regular bus to San Pedro de Atacama where we lodging in our Hosteria. Free time to rest in the town. (INCLUDED BREAFAST)
Day 12: SALAR DE ATACAMA AND ALTIPLANIC LAGOONS OF CHILE
Today we begin with our first excursion in Chile!, We visit the Atacama Salar, Toconao and Altiplanic lagoons. Going to Chaxa Lagoon where we enjoy the birds and flamingos, continue our trip until Miscanti and Meñiques highland lagoons located at 4000 msnm, when we return to San Pedro we can visit their churches and the village of Toconao. Lodging in San Pedro de Atacama. (INCLUDED BREAFAST)
Day 13: GEYSERS OF TATIO/MOON VALLEY
Early in the morning, we got ready for our second day in Chile, today we will visit the Geysers del Tatio and Machuca village, we will going to walk among the geysers, being able to appreciate their activity, breakfast and watching the show. Then we enjoy in the pool with high temperaturs.
Our trip continue through the Bofedal of Putana, where we can appreciate different migratory birds, finally arriving at Machuca.
We return to San Pedro at noon. At sunset we can visit the Valley of the Moon, located near of San Pedro, in the area of the Cordillera of salt with an extraordinary attraction fot its similarity with the lunar surface. From a great dune we can appreciate the surroundings of this area. (INCLUDED BREAFAST)
Day 14: SAN PEDRO DE ATACAMA/SALTA
Early, we say goodbye from San Pedro de Atacama and by regular bus cross the Andes Mountains entering Argentina on an unforgettable journey that takes us through the passage of Jama (4200 masl) to the magnificent city of Salta.Lodgng in hosteria. (INCLUDED BREAFAST)
Day 15: SALTA AIRPORT
After breakfast we will be transferred to the airport to take flight to go until our next destination.
