A journey in which we will appreciate of animal behavior in their natural state, crossing different reserves of the region and surprise us with its magnificent specimens, sea lions, penguins, whales and more.
DAY 01: TRELEW / PUERTO MADRYN
Arrival at Trelew Airport and transfer to hotel in Puerto Madryn, in the way we will visit the Paleontological Museum in Trelew city. Then, we will continue until our hotel and lodging. Overnight in Puerto Madryn.
DAY 02: PUERTO MADRYN/ PENINSULA VALDES
After breakfast, we will begin our tour with a visit to the wildlife reserve whose main points to visit are: the interpretive center - Ameghino Isthmus, located at the entrance of the reserve., from there we will have the chance to see both gulfs at the same time, the coastal way, Bird Island, and contemplate the steppe part of the native fauna (guanacos, rheas, maras and sheep and others.) Distant 100 km from Puerto Madryn we will find the tourist town of Puerto Pyramid, from here we can embark for whale watching: the approximate duration of 01.15 hours. Navigation. Then, we will visit Caleta Valdès (colony of elephant seals and sea lions located at the eastern end of the peninsula). Then, we will continue towards Punta Norte, another colony of marine fauna located in the extreme northeast, with a small interpretive center, particularly renowned for its rugged coastline, the contrasts are between high and low tides and of course the presence and attacks of orcas which usually "visit" the area in search of new prey. Depending the season, we can visit Punta Norte or Punta Delgada. This last colony, located in the extreme southeast, has a very particular view is accompanied by a lighthouse and its facilities. We will return to the city around 18 hs. Overnight in Puerto Madryn.
DAY 03: PUERTO MADRYN /BAHÍA BUSTAMANTE
Departure after breakfast towards the south through Trelew and continuing on National Route 3 to the town of Bustamante Bay, where we will stay. Arrival and lodging.
Bahia Bustamante is a paradise waiting to be discovered; from its magnificent beaches of white sand and crystal clear water framed by dark red rocks reaching inland, to its moonscapes of great deserts. It is a marine and earthly paradise inhabited by a great number of birds and mammals.
The options are: sailing the Malaspina Cove to do bird watching (Penguins, Steamer Duck, Skuas, Cormorants, Petrel, Terns, Olrog Seagull, Oyster Catchers), sea lions, a visit to the Petrified Forest, the exploration of the Gravina Penìnsula, an insight into the seaweed industry, a visit to a typical patagonian ranch - on experience of the work there, visit to the Aristizabal Lighthouse and Penguin Island, hikes and mountain biking.
In the afternoon, we will do some activity offered by Bustamante Lodge. Overnight at Bustamante ranch (Dinner included).
DAY 04: BAHÍA BUSTAMANTE
After breakfast, we will do some of the activities offered by Bustamante ranch as navigating the colony of wolves, a visit to the Gravina Penìnsula , visit Petrified Forest The Pyramid or a visit to Penguin Island. Night stay (full board included). Overnight at Bustamante Lodge.
DAY 05: BAHÍA BUSTAMANTE / TRELEW
We will return from Bustamante Ranch to the Airport in Trelew to take our return flight.
