Day 1: Salta/Airport Salta
We welcome you at the Salta Airport and transfer to our accommodation. The rest of the day will be free for us to discover this particular city. Lodging and night in Salta.
Day 2: Salta / Cachi – Molinos
Breakfast and departure by the Lerma Valley to the town of Carril, we cross the Quebrada de los Laureles and then Escoipe Gorge, then enter the Cuesta del Obispo, where we will enjoy a panoramic view of the Enchanted Valley and small houses with crops corn and fruit.
Then through the National Park Los Cardones by Straight Tin-Tin, old Inca Trail.
Arriving in Cachi you can enjoy a panoramic view of “Nevado de Cachi” and Payogasta. We visit to the town of Cachi touring the Museum of Archaeology and the Church and continued our way to Molinos, where we overnight.
Day 3: Molinos / Cafayate/Quebrada de Cafayate/Salta
Breakfast and We continue our journey along Route 40 to admire mountain scenery,such The Gorge of Arrows, San Carlos and Animaná until arrival at Cafayate where we visit wineries in the region and taste their products, then we return to Salta discovering along the way the curious formations eroded by wind and water as the Dunes, Toad, Bishop, Devil's Throat, The Castles, The Amphitheater, among others. Arrival in the Salta city, accommodation.
Day 4: Salta / Quebrada de Humahuaca/Purmamarca
The journey leaves from Salta, but really begins once arrived to Purmamarca Village where time will be enough to observe the Seven Colored Hill, the Church and the Craft Market on the square, and a small walk along its narrow streets. We continue towards the town of Tilcara where we visit the Pucará (ancient ruins), the Archaeological
Museum, and Huacalera, and then we cross the Capricorn Tropic, from where the colors of La Pollera de la Coya Hill can be seen and really good pictures taken because of the daylight. We visit Uquía and its church, where the paintings of the Arcabuceros Angels (important vestige in the zone of the Cuzqueña School) are kept. Arrival to Humahuaca will be at noon; this town has an important Church and the Independence Monument (the Indian). After lunch we´ll observe, from the route, La Paleta del Pintor (Painter’s Palette)framing the town of Maimara. Continue until Purmamarca where we lodging.
Day 5: Purmamarca/Salinas Grandes/San Antonio de los Cobres/Tolar Grande
A trip to the clouds, following the train tracks. The village of Campo Quijano "Portal de los Andes" gives way to the spectacular Quebrada del Toro, and then the pre-Incan ruins of the ancient town of Santa Rosa de Tastil. We will also observe the great engineering work on railway parallel to the route, bridges, viaducts, zig-zags and different seasons. Ascend up to 4080 mts. Abra Blanca, in the vastness of the Puna. Arrival to San Antonio de los Cobres nestled among engaging the Andes, and then go through the Salar de Pocitos and reach Tolar Grande. Lodging
Day 6: Tolar Grande/Salar de Arizaro/Cono de Arita/Ojo de Mar/Tolar Grande
Morning departure to cross the Salar de Arizaro Caipe to reach the heart of the highlands and the cone Arita, here we will trek up to the base of the cone, back to Tolar Grande to watch the sunset in different volcanoes. Lodging in Tolar Grande
Day 7: Tolar Grande/San Antonio de los Cobres/Quebrada del Toro/Salta
Departure to the city of Salta in retracing journey. Arrival at Salta city and lodging.
Day 8: Salta - Airport
After breakfast we are transferred to the airport where our tour ends
